This Canon 6447B001 ink cartridge is NOT an original cartridge made by the printer manufacturer, so it is a so-called replacement supply cartridge. By law, the use of a supply cartridge does not invalidate the warranty granted to the printer. Of course, the printer manufacturer is not responsible for any (very unlikely) damages directly caused by using a non-original cartridge.
